Product Overview
The HF‑LPM‑1A1B‑A is a low‑pressure PU system for self‑skinning armrests, featuring one‑step molding, servo metering (±0.3%), and sealed tanks for stability.
This low‑pressure polyurethane foaming machine is designed to produce self‑skinning polyurethane armrests for automotive interiors, office chairs, wheelchairs, medical rehabilitation equipment, and fitness gear such as treadmills and stationary bikes. It also manufactures other human support or grip components with similar structures. The self‑skinning foaming process forms a dense, attractive outer skin and soft foam core inside the mold in a single cycle. The skin and core bond naturally during chemical reaction, eliminating follow‑up fabric or leather wrapping procedures—cutting production steps and labor costs while avoiding common defects like blistering and peeling after long‑term use. The machine features a 200L tank system, discharge flow from 50 to 280 g/s, adjustable A:B ratio of 100:50‑150, and a mixing head speed of 5,200 rpm. The servo direct‑drive precision metering pumps, with optional Coriolis mass flowmeter for closed‑loop control, maintain ±0.3% accuracy. The system reads fluid mass in real time; if viscosity changes cause flow drift, the PLC automatically compensates servo speed to stabilize internal mechanical performance across batches. The fully sealed tank structure effectively isolates ambient moisture—especially critical for isocyanate components—preventing viscosity rise, reduced reactivity, and bubble defects. Finished armrests feature soft, elastic surfaces with outstanding compression resistance, impact resistance, abrasion resistance, and oil resistance, ideal for frequently touched, easily soiled, and worn applications.
Production Workflow
Material Loading & Sealed Tank Preparation
Load polyol and isocyanate into fully sealed 200L tanks, protecting isocyanate from ambient moisture to maintain reactivity.
Recipe Selection & Parameter Setting
Choose stored formula on PLC touch screen; set A:B ratio (100:50‑150) and flow rate (50‑280 g/s) per armrest type.
One‑Step Self‑Skinning Pouring
PU material is poured into the mold in a single shot; outer skin densifies while inner core remains soft during reaction—achieving one‑step molding.
Demolding & Finished Product
Open mold; remove finished self‑skinning armrest with dense outer skin and soft core—no secondary covering required.

Key Advantages
Six engineering and production benefits that deliver premium self‑skinning armrests with one‑step molding, comfortable hand feel, and flexible multi‑model production.
One‑Step Molding Without Secondary Covering
Self‑skinning process forms dense outer skin and soft core in a single cycle. Skin and core bond naturally, eliminating fabric/leather wrapping—cutting steps, labor, and avoiding blistering/peeling defects.
Comfortable Hand Feel & Balanced Physical Performance
Soft, elastic surfaces with outstanding compression, impact, abrasion, and oil resistance. Hard‑skin & soft‑core structure delivers reliable support and long‑wearing comfort for frequently touched, soiled applications.
Wide Adjustable Parameters for Flexible Multi‑Model Switching
Both flow rate and mixing ratio are adjustable on demand. A single machine produces light soft office armrests and thick supportive wheelchair/automotive armrests—lowering equipment investment and changeover time.
Precision Ratio Control Optimized for Low‑Weight Parts
Servo direct‑drive metering pumps with optional Coriolis mass flowmeter provide ±0.3% accuracy. Real‑time flow monitoring and PLC compensation ensure stable internal mechanical performance despite viscosity fluctuations.
Sealed Tanks for Consistent Raw Material Stability
Fully sealed structure isolates ambient moisture—critical for isocyanates—preventing viscosity rise, reduced reactivity, and bubble defects, maintaining raw material condition during long continuous production.
Versatile for Multiple Industries & Product Types
Produces automotive armrests, office chair armrests, wheelchair armrests, medical rehab handrails, and fitness equipment grips. Also adaptable for other human support/grip components with similar structures.
