Specially designed for the precision production of polyurethane steering shaft ball sockets for the automotive industry, widely suitable for the casting of passenger and commercial vehicle steering system parts.
This PU casting unit is purpose-built for the precision production of polyurethane steering shaft ball sockets used in automotive steering systems. The 1A1B independent temperature control two-component system supports flexible switching between MOCA and BDO chain extenders, allowing adjustment of hardness to suit ball sockets for different vehicle models. Dynamic full-range high-precision metering ensures small product size error, in line with automotive parts assembly standards. The small-flow precise casting capability (30–600 g/s) delivers stable forming without burrs, effectively improving the yield of small parts. With simple and stable operation, the machine is ideally suited for mass production of multi-specification auto parts, meeting the production requirements of high-precision assembly, long-term durability and stable steering for automotive components. Vacuum defoaming (≤-0.095MPa) ensures dense, pore-free products with consistent mechanical properties.
Operation Workflow
Raw Material Preparation
Prepare CPU prepolymer and chain extender (MOCA or BDO) according to the target mix ratio. Select the appropriate formula based on the required hardness and vehicle model specifications.
Tank Loading & Independent Temperature Setting
Load prepolymer into Tank A and chain extender into Tank B. The 1A1B independent temperature control system allows precise setting: Tank A at 30–80°C, Tank B according to selected formula (MOCA: 90–115°C; BDO: 25–50°C).
Vacuum Defoaming
Activate the vacuum defoaming system to achieve vacuum level ≤-0.095MPa, removing bubbles to ensure dense, pore-free ball sockets with consistent mechanical properties.
Precision Metering, Mixing & Small-Flow Casting
The PLC-controlled dynamic metering system (accuracy ≤±0.3% full range) dispenses materials precisely. The mixing head operates at 8000–12000 r/min for homogeneous blending. The small-flow pouring rate (30–600 g/s) ensures stable forming without burrs, ideally suited for small ball socket molds.
