Intelligent Solvent-Free PU Foaming Coating Production Line Upgrade

The customer is a Guangdong-based manufacturer with 9 years of experience in synthetic leather substrate production, specializing in foamed base cloth for automotive interior leather, luggage leather and casual shoe leather. Its 2 traditional solvent-based PU coating lines suffered from high VOC emissions, unstable foam structures, significant raw material waste, heavy labor dependence and inefficient product changeovers, making it difficult to meet increasingly stringent environmental and quality requirements from premium brands and overseas markets. Haifeng Polyurethane Machinery completed the solvent-free intelligent upgrade of both production lines within 4 months, enabling the customer to transition from conventional solvent-based processing to an environmentally friendly solvent-free low-pressure foaming process.

Haifeng Polyurethane Machinery upgraded the customer’s 2 traditional solvent-based PU coating lines into an intelligent solvent-free production system for high-end synthetic leather substrates. The project deployed HF-LPM-2A2B-L solvent-free PU low-pressure foaming coating equipment equipped with a ±0.3% high-precision servo metering system, an 8,600 rpm anti-blocking mixing head and an adjustable working width of 1,500–2,200 mm, enabling precise A/B component dosing and stable foaming coating. Each line features an independent PLC control system with more than 40 PU formulas for automotive, luggage and shoe leather, supporting one-click parameter recall and 3–5 minute color changes. Fully sealed foaming cabins, exhaust recovery and digital production data management enable low-VOC production, full-process quality traceability and environmental compliance. Haifeng Polyurethane Machinery also provided on-site installation and commissioning, operator training, 24-hour technical support and regular calibration services.
