Medical Polyurethane Caster & AGV Wheel Production Line Intelligent Upgrade

The customer is a medical tire manufacturer with 12 years of experience, specializing in operating table casters and medical AGV polyurethane wheels. Its original 3 semi-automatic production lines produced approximately 120,000 tires annually. Low production efficiency, unstable quality, lack of international certifications and high production costs prevented the company from meeting increasingly stringent requirements for precision, cleanliness, biocompatibility and overseas market access. Haifeng Polyurethane Machinery implemented an integrated intelligent upgrade covering equipment modernization, medical-grade formula optimization, full-process quality control and certification support within 6 months.

Daily output increased from 320 to 1,200–1,500 tires, representing a 3.7–4.7x capacity increase; annual output exceeded 450,000 tires; order lead time decreased from 20 to 7 days; finished-product pass rate increased from 82% to 98.5%; customer complaint rate decreased from 18% to 0.8%; FDA and CE certifications were obtained; overseas sales increased from 0% to 35% of total revenue; raw material waste decreased from 15% to 6%; labor cost per tire decreased from RMB 12 to RMB 5; monthly maintenance downtime fell below 1 hour; total production costs decreased by 28%; domestic hospital customers increased from 86 to 210; and long-term supply contracts were secured with two leading global medical equipment brands.

Haifeng Polyurethane Machinery upgraded the customer’s 3 traditional semi-automatic production lines with an integrated intelligent solution based on the HF-CPU series low-pressure foaming system (standard base model: HF-LPM-1A1B-T), combined with an 8-station rotary mold carrier for automatic material proportioning, constant-temperature pouring and online inspection. A multi-specification parameter database for 12–24 inch medical tires, high-precision metering technology and medical-grade modified polyurethane formulas enable rapid specification changeover, stable molding and medical-grade performance including antistatic and disinfectant resistance. The project also established a three-tier quality control system covering raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products, together with FDA and CE certification support, on-site installation and commissioning, operator training, 24-hour technical support and regular maintenance.
